FOI - 2016 London Plan annual monitoring report

Key information

Request reference number: FOI - 8729

Date of response:

Summary of request

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to inquire about the data about the 2016 London Plan annual monitoring report (AMR) and the planning permissions on the London Development Database (LDD).

1. I downloaded the LDD from the link below. However according to Annex 2 of LDD information scheme, there should be some more data fields such existing SG floorspace (not hostels) and Site Area of proposed non housing. Can I have the full LDD?

LDD data:

https://data.london.gov.uk/dataset/planning-permissions-on-the-london-d…-

LDD information scheme:

https://www.london.gov.uk/sites/default/files/ldd_information_scheme.pdf

2. The 2016 London Plan AMR shows a breakdown of net housing supply into conventional, non-conventional (i.e. student bedrooms, care homes and non-self-contained accommodation in hostels and houses in multiple occupation) and vacants back in use. Can I have the breakdown of housing supply in the LDD?

3. The 2016 London Plan AMR reported the units in pipelines (Table 3.23 - Conventional Pipeline at 31/03/2016, P.128) and included a breakdown into 'Started' and 'under construction'. However, it is possible that some strategic sites had both outline permission first and then permission on reserved matters. For instance the Barking Riverside, an outline permission of 10,800 units (04/01230/OUT) is included as the 'Started' in LDD, and an permission for reservation matters of 290 units (08/00896/REM) is included as "Not started'. How does the AMR avoid double counting of units in the total pipelines? Is such breakdown (i.e overlapping planning consents) available in LDD?

I look forward to your reply and receive the required data. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need any further clarification. Many thanks.
