Details on expenses for the campaign promoting the State of London Debate on
Thursday 29 June 2023.
I would like as many details on this campaign as possible, which includes but is not
limited to:
- How much was spent on the printing of the posters used to promote the event.
- How much was spent, if any, in payments to Transport for London (TfL) or any marketing agency to publish or publicly display the posters.
- Specifically, how much was spent producing the poster that features the tagline, 'What else can we deliver together, London?'
- What was the total cost of promoting the State of London debate event?
Our response
- The GLA spent £607.92 (excluding VAT) on printing the posters about the State of London Debate on 29 June 2023.
- No money was paid to TfL or any marketing agency to publish or publicly display the posters.
- This was the only poster used to promote the event, so the printing costs are the same as above - £607.92 (excluding VAT).
- The total costs are the same as above - £607.92 (excluding VAT).
A month prior to the date of the State of London Debate, the GLA has a statutory obligation to notify the public about the event via adverts, so Londoners are given the opportunity to quiz the Mayor of London about the issues that matter in-person or online.
