Our response
The GLA does not hold any information within the scope of your request.
The GLA is not listed as a relevant authority under Schedule 1 of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 (RIPA) which means the GLA is not a RIPA authority and has no powers to conduct RIPA.
As a result, there is no requirement for staff to be trained on RIPA, nor is there a requirement for the GLA to appoint a Senior Responsible Officer or Authorising Officer.
The Investigatory Powers Commissioner's Office will not carry out inspections on organisations that are not listed as relevant authorities for the purposes of RIPA.
