Age: Volunteers should be 16 years old and above+

What will I be doing?

  • Take an accurate record of the meeting discussion and any actions raised.
  • Type up the minutes within the agreed time frame.
  • Send the completed minutes to the Company Secretary within the agreed timeframe.
  • Make amendments to the minutes as required.
  • Assist with administrative and other ad-hoc duties.
  • The ideal volunteer will have previous experience of minute-taking, is able to use and understand formal language, will be able to write (or type) quickly during meetings, able to follow (sometimes complex) discussions and identify key points, comments and actions. They will also demonstrate excellent written and grammar skills, be professional, confident, and would feel confident in a board-level environment. Finally, able to understand and follow Spring Community Hub's policies and procedures- including confidentiality and GDPR regulations.

What impact will this have?

  • The Trustee Board governs and leads the charity to ensure it fulfils its aims, and complies with charity, and other laws. The Trustee Board meets four times a year (with some ad-hoc meetings) to discuss and agree key decisions and actions within the organisation.
  • Volunteering in this role will provide vital support to our Board of Trustees and ultimately ensure growth and development of the organisation.
  • You will be making a big difference in the community.

Commitment

  • We are looking for 2 Administrator/ Project Support Volunteers to support our Board of Trustees.
  • The volunteer must attend all board meetings- The Trustee Board meets four times a year (with some ad-hoc meetings).

What else do I need to know?

  • As this is a face-to-face role, Spring Community Hub is compliant with the latest Government Guidance for limiting the spread of Covid-19.
  • PPE (gloves and masks) are provided or volunteers can bring their own.
  • Please follow social distancing guidelines and regularly use the hand sanitiser provided at all of our centres.

Expenses

  • This role will primarily be remote, however we will cover any associated travel costs.

  • A DBS check is required
