What will I be doing?
- Volunteers will facilitate some groups such as coffee and chat groups, for an independent older population.
- Volunteers will accompany our members on trips to museums, art galleries, films, theatre and concerts.
- Volunteers will assist with campaigning work around making life easier for older people, and helping to get older people's voices heard in the local community.
- Volunteers will help with general office administration tasks.
- Volunteers will help to plan and organise activities and events.
What impact will this have?
- Volunteers will make a difference by tackling loneliness and social isolation among the older population, and helping them to reintegrate into the community.
- Volunteers will enable older people to voice their opinions and raise issues with local policy makers in order to raise the standard of their quality of life.
- Volunteers will help with campaigning around the issues affecting older people and therefore help with community cohesion.
- Volunteers will help to break down intergenerational barriers.

Commitment
- We need volunteers for activities lasting between 1 - 2 hours.
- Activities may be group meetings, workshops, outings or general help in the office.
Expenses
- Some travel may be paid, and refreshments when working with older groups.
