The Get Apprenticeship Advice Service (GAA) service will reopen at the end of January 2025. If you are looking to explore apprenticeships there are some useful resources and information we can recommend. 

Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge (ASK) recorded three online sessions covering what an apprenticeship is, how to register for vacancies and how to improve your applications. These are a great place to start if you want to find out more.

1. Apprenticeship Overview

This session provides a spotlight on apprenticeships, including the range of apprenticeship roles available, apprenticeship levels, examples of companies that offer apprenticeships, salary range, when and where to apply, and the balance of the work placement and studying elements.

2. Registration workshop

This session provides information on where to find apprenticeship vacancies, including UCAS, Find an Apprenticeship, LinkedIn and others. It also discusses the application process, including when to apply and what the process entails.

3. Employability workshop (CVs and Interview practice)

This session provides an overview of the key skills you will require to successfully navigate the apprenticeship recruitment process, including recognising your strengths, CVs, assessment centres and interviews.
