Make Music Day is a worldwide celebration of music taking place in 120 countries on the summer solstice. Hundreds of performances will take place across the UK, with many events in London. Our flagship event will take place in London Bridge.
For the third year in a row there will be an evening concert centred around The Scoop – an amphitheatre dug into the side of City Hall on the south embankment of the Thames, which overlooks Tower Bridge. The location itself is amazing, but we will also be putting together a great and diverse lineup of live music.
All for One Brass Band are jetting in from New Orleans and, with London-based Kinetika Bloco, will lead a carnival-style procession from the north side of the Thames, across London Bridge, and then weaving through the More London Estate – before arriving for a final performance as part of our programming at The Scoop.
Along the way they will be joined by other brass-lead ensembles from London and there will be yet more music from these bands on Potters Fields park at the end of the procession.
