Little Concert and Airbnb present Ferris and Sylvester at Ziferblat
The duo's distinctive sound was moulded with the help of legendary producer, Youth, who has also worked with Paul McCartney, The Verve and Crowded House. The end result is a delicate but perfect balance between Archie Sylvester's blues influences and Issy Ferris’ soft folk tones.
Settle in and get comfortable for the concert at Ziferblat - a collaborative, creative space in Shoreditch, East London. This quirky centre with Russian roots describes itself as a tree house for adults, and as such encourages its visitors to create, collaborate and play. The perfect venue, in other words, for this up-and-coming duo to perform.
About Ferris & Sylvester
Ferris & Sylvester are a London based duo made up of Issy Ferris and Archie Sylvester, currently releasing their highly anticipated EP ‘Made In Streatham’. The record follows the duo’s strong year in 2017 where they were named Top 10 New Country Artists To Watch by Rolling Stone Magazine and received great support across the board.
‘Made In Streatham’ was written and recorded by the duo in their South London flat, detailing their life in Streatham Hill. The EP’s singles have had a great response, earning the duo a place in BBC Introducing in Devon’s Best of 2017 list and a double nomination at the Unsigned Music Awards 2018 for Best Songwriter and Best Folk/Country Act.
With clear references in their catchy folk setup to the mid-60s sounds of Greenwich Village combined with their meatier blues tones, the duo sit somewhere between Jack White and First Aid Kit. Their clever combination of Archie’s blues influence and Issy’s soft folk tone has created a distinctive genre of their own.
