London Borough of Culture 2023 - Croydon

Croydon’s London Borough of Culture programme ran from April 2023 to March 2024.

'This is Croydon' was a celebration of the borough’s history, grassroots talent, unsung cultural heroes, and young people which took centre stage in Croydon’s change-making year.

The year was filled with exciting events ranging from the London Mozart Players’ 'Oratorio of Hope' concert that kicked off the festivities in April 2023 to the 'Rewind: This is Croydon’s Music' exhibition at Museum of Croydon which uncovered Croydon’s rich musical past. 'Croydon Remix' at the closing weekend was jam-packed with gigs, performances, and activities for all ages.

'This is Croydon' has brought to life the cultural character of the borough and put Croydon on the map for years to come as a cultural hotspot.
