The Brent 2020 programme was adapted to unite communities at a time when they were unable to come together, delivered in collaboration with hundreds of volunteers, young ambassadors, teachers, artists, and community advisors.

Grassroots creativity was at the heart of a year that included a digital music festival and visual arts programme amongst others, all of which empowered young people and invested in local artists to support the cultural ecosystem of the borough.

    A collaboration between VICE and the young people of Brent, this audio project explores the multitude of issues affecting youth today. Listen as Brent locals document their perspective on topics like politics and identity, love and dating, crime, culture, the environment and beyond.

Metroland Cultures

Metroland Cultures, the charity set up to deliver Brent 2020, has ambitious plans for the future including the second Brent Art Biennial and a new bi-annual music event, alongside programmes for young people, artists, community advisors and teachers – extending beyond Brent’s borders, further into Metroland.
