Summary of request
Mr Kahn.
My Step daughter was in an incident, residing in East London, whereby she went out a window of a flat and is left Paraplegic.
There was a previous history of Domestic Violence at this address and it was "flagged up" as any incidents to attend immediately or asap.
On the night of my Step daughters paralysis the only statement taken was that of my Step daughters then on/off partner who had previous convictions of violence towards her.
The Met Police failed to take important investigative actions, the case was closed. There were a number of failings.
We, my step daughter, her mother and myself have applied for data protection to be lifted in order for myself and her Mother to now advocate/represent her in a complaints procedure against the police.
We have sent all information required including photographic ID of all parties, proof of addresses, a letter giving permissions from my Step daughter, a letter from myself and her Mother highlighting in much detail the reason for the request etc.
The information unit are proving to be difficult at this first hurdle. We need this complaint to be addressed immediately now. We need your help as the Commissioner in this City. With thanks.
