Nabeel Khan (Past staff)

Biography

Nabeel is the Head of Economic Development at the GLA. He manages a team of policy professionals and project managers that are responsible for delivering the Mayor’s commitments in his Economic Development Strategy. 

His team’s remit spans from providing a strong voice for London’s business community into policy development through to highlighting London’s world class research and innovation clusters to encouraging inclusive growth that all Londoners can benefit from.  His team’s goal is to ensure that the capital remains the most attractive place to work, study, visit and do business in the world.

A graduate of Warwick Business School, he has previously worked at a couple of London Boroughs in a variety of regeneration and development focused roles.  

Nabeel is an advocate of a 4 day working week. On his non working day, he volunteers in a non-executive role for two organisations - Fair Finance, a social enterprise that is revolutionising financial services for vulnerable Londoners; and the Football Foundation, the largest sports charity in the UK.

Responsibilities

Responsible for managing and building high level professional relationships with the Deputy Mayor, Senior GLA and GLA Group colleagues and other external stakeholders and partners to deliver the Mayor’s Economic Development Strategy (EDS).
