High Street Fund newsletter

This series of newsletters was produced to help shape successful funding applications to the Mayor’s High Street Fund. Each newsletter highlighted a different theme, providing useful information on how to make a successful bid.

The first issue, Understanding the High Street, looked at why it’s important to have good knowledge of your high street and the people that use it, and how you might use the fund to uncover the potential of your local area.

The second issue, The Stewardship Issue, shows how effective stewardship of a high street can be used to encourage high street custodians and organisations to define and facilitate change.

The third issue, The Intensification and Diversification Issue, looks at how we might develop specific town centre strategies to proactively manage their changing role.

The fourth issue, The Stimulating Activity Issues, looks at the importance of marrying physical improvments with long term engagement of shop keepers, owners and traders.
