Saatchi Block public hearing
In his role of making strategic planning decisions for London, the Mayor may occasionally take over an application, therefore becoming the local planning authority. He must then hold a public hearing before deciding whether or not to grant planning permission.
In this instance, the Mayor took over the application for the redevelopment of Saatchi Block.
Background to the public hearing
On 27 June 2011 the Mayor directed Camden Council that he would act as the local planning authority for the Saatchi Block planning application (under article 7 of the Mayor of London Order 2008 and the powers conferred by Section 2A of the 1990 Town and Country Planning Act).
The Local Planning Authority reference assigned to the application is 2010/6873/P. The GLA reference is PDU/2646
