Summary of request

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I request the following information on private companies marketing integrated body worn video and facial recognition technology to the Metropolitan Police Service.

 

There have been press reports, including in the Evening Standard on 24 June 2019, about a company called Wireless TV trying to market the use of facial recognition technology integrated into body worn cameras.

Could you provide copies (redacted for personal details if needed) of

  • Any correspondence since 01/01/2018 between representatives of Wireless TV and members of the GLA, MOPAC and/or the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS)
  • A list of dates and personnel attending any meetings that have taken place since 01/01/2018, either online or in person, between representatives of the organisations named above.
