The Mayor's Rough Sleeping Plan of Action
Working with government, London Councils, boroughs and civil society to end rough sleeping in London by 2030.
It isn’t right for anyone to be sleeping rough on London’s streets. Despite the efforts made in recent years though, we are seeing ever more people forced to sleep rough, downstream of a long-term national homelessness crisis.
But things don’t have to be this way.
The Mayor is determined to collaborate with London's boroughs, partners, and central government to prevent rough sleeping, provide lasting support off the streets, and end it in London by 2030.
We recognise this is a significant challenge requiring all partners in London and central government to play their part.
The new Rough Sleeping Plan of Action outlines the necessary steps and actions to achieve this challenging objective.

We want to end this vicious cycle. That’s why we’re putting prevention at the heart of our response so that we can stop the rising tide of street homelessness. And in the instances where rough sleeping isn’t preventable, we’ll provide rapid and sustainable routes away from the streets.
