Community Recovery Fund
About the fund
In September 2024 the UK Government introduced a £15m Community Recovery Fund to support communities impacted by the scenes of disorder that took place in July and August 2024.
The Greater London Authority has received £600,000 funding from the Community Recovery Fund, which was made available by the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
The Community Recovery Fund will support these communities to rebuild. This will include repairs to physical infrastructure and supporting efforts toward repairing fractured communities.
How to apply
The GLA is working with London Councils to distribute funds totalling £510,000 to each of the 33 London boroughs. Projects will include engagement events to rebuild community links and support for voluntary and community organisations working on activities to support community relations.
In addition, the GLA will distribute an additional £90,000 from the Community Recovery Fund to support investments in physical infrastructure, equipment, and security for advice agencies in London which provide free legal advice. This funding will be allocated via small grant applications processed by London Legal Support Trust in partnership with the GLA.
