Open innovation

Challenge LDN is a city open innovation service for impactful solutions to city problems with the tech sector. 

Since 2018 there have been 24 open innovation challenges delivered and 76 projects/pilots supported and 38 challenge winners.

Digital inclusion

The Digital Access for All mission following the pandemic aims to ensure every Londoner is to have access to good connectivity, basic digital skills and the device or support they need to be online by 2025.

Participation

Talk London - often referred to as City Hall's online community - is a civic engagement platform launched by the Mayor of London in 2012.

Talk London helps City Hall policy teams engage with Londoners through surveys, discussions and idea generation activities. Bringing Londoners’ voices into City Hall helps policy teams make better policies and programmes.

Ethics

London’s Emerging Technology Charter sets practical and ethical guidance on the trialling and deployment of smart technologies in the city.

Collaborations

The London Office of Technology and Innovation (LOTI), based at London Councils, fosters joint innovation projects with boroughs, with a track record of over 60 projects since 2019.
