The Owl and the Pussycat

The Royal Opera House's ROH2 presented this water-bound operatic spectacle based around the enchanting Edward Lear poem The Owl and the Pussycat during the summer of the Games. Featuring a libretto from ex-Monty Python Terry Jones, and a new commissioned score from critically acclaimed musician and Oscar-winning (The Full Monty) composer Anne Dudley, it truly was an event like no other.

Nothing Is Set In Stone

A monolithic installation by artist Mira Calix, incorporated an interactive sound system enabling visitors to experience the work through both touch and sound. Set in the tranquil surroundings of Fairlop Waters, a stunning country park and nature reserve in the London Borough of Redbridge, the work was organically rooted in its landscape.

Northala

The Northala Fields performances played on the connection between the contemporary and the ancient landscape, environmental artists Red Earth transformed Northala Fields in West London throughout the summer with striking natural installations escalating into a ceremony of fire and sound!
