Bloomsbury Publishing
Bloomsbury Publishing is one of the leading independent book publishing houses and has companies in New York, Sydney, Delhi and London. We joined with Bloomsbury Publishing to produce this film as its Chief Executive Officer – Nigel Newton wanted to open up the publishing world to young people and show the variety of jobs that are involved in the industry. The film focusses on the life cycle of a book and takes a peak at some of the roles that are involved in this process.

The Unpacking the Credits education resource pack is aimed at 11 – 15-year olds, helping to guide young people into thinking about careers in the creative industries. It is a tool to encourage young people to watch the films, to think about skills that are needed in roles, to question and unearth their talents, and to explore activities from watching the films.
The pack includes a 12-part lesson plan that supports the Gatsby Benchmark, a framework of 8 guidelines that define the best careers provision in schools.
