Hounslow's Creative Enterprise Zone
The Hounslow Zone spans the Great West Road, and has established itself as a leader in screen and broadcasting with its eclectic mix well known industry names all calling the Zone home, including Sky, 180 Studios, and Jimmy Choo Academy. Led by Hounslow Council, the Zone hosts the annual Brentford Creative Mile.
About the zone
Since launching in 2017 the Zone has been focused on boosting the local creative, media, and film industries by providing affordable workspace, fostering collaboration with major companies, including Sky, Disney and Paramount, and creating training opportunities for local people to access creative jobs, aiming to make Hounslow a thriving hub for diverse creative businesses from large studios to freelancers.
The story so far
Since the zone launched it has created new, permanent, affordable creative workspace with initiatives like Digital Dock in Brentford offering accessible desks and digital studios for content creation. It has also retained the iconic Gillette Building for creative sector use.
