Moon Duo started out in 2009 as a side project collaboration between Wooden Shjips guitarist Ripley Johnson and keyboardist Sanae Yamada. The group has since released four albums and one EP. Moon Duo’s steely, psych sound is anchored by spiraling guitars, loopy keyboard lines and krautrock rhythms.
Their most recent album is 2017’s two-volume Occult Architecture.
