London Eye - Make Music Day UK Sounds Like London

On 21 June, London will be celebrating Make Music Day alongside over 750 cities worldwide. Free events will be taking place in spaces from parks to town squares, landmarks to libraries, school halls to pubs.

Young and old, professional, part-time or amateur, bands, ensembles and soloists will perform music of every kind throughout the day.

London events include: a celebration of Gospel Music as part of the British Library’s Windrush exhibition, a Come and Sing event led by London’s homeless choir, A Choir with No Name, featuring women in song, Jon Boden’s Folky Sing at Cecil Sharp House, a lunchtime Come and Sing at Trinity Laban, a flashmob in Paternoster Square plus events in Balham, Dalston, Deptford, Homerton and Shoreditch and many more.

The London flagship event will take place in London Bridge featuring bands, choirs and a New Orleans-inspired parade at The Scoop, London Bridge Station, Hay’s Galleria and Potters Field Park. Find out more at www.makemusicday.co.uk.
