GIRLS I RATE have teamed up with PRS for Music to present the second #GETHEARD event taking place on Saturday 30th June.
#GETHEARD is an exclusive A&R listening weekender that provides the UK’s hottest female songwriters, producers, artists, rappers and MCs aged 16 to 30 with the opportunity to showcase their original songs to A&R executives and industry professionals.
#GETHEARD will be hosted by writer-producer and GIRLS I RATE founder Carla-MarieWilliams, who’s written songs for Beyonce, Britney Spears alongside platinum-selling producer-artist Naughty Boy.
Panelists include industry professionals from BMG Publishing, Polydor Records, Downtown Publishing, SONY ATV and Ministry of Sound.
GIRLS I RATE is a non-profit organisation set up in 2016 to empower females in music whilst pushing for change and equality in the creative industries. Currently, PRS membership is only made up of 16% women. We are pushing to encourage more female songwriters, producers and creatives to come forward, #GETHEARD and register to help increase PRS memberships.
