Any artist wanting to make a living from their music today needs to be business-minded and once songs are written and tracks recorded, it's time to start thinking of the bigger picture.
The Artist:Entrepreneur Day from FAC and CMU:DIY is a practical guide to building a long-term career and sustainable business around your music.
With knowledge shared artist-to-artist you’ll hear and learn from fellow entrepreneurs who'll let you inside their careers and businesses throughout the day. They'll explain how they make and monetise their music as well as how they built and developed a brand, found and engaged a fanbase and decided which suppliers and business partners to work with along the way.
The day will be hosted by three artist entrepreneurs, Roxanne De Bastion, Eckoes and Femme, who'll each open up on their own artist businesses. They'll question a team of music industry experts on how to build a fanbase, get on the road and manage music rights, and about the roles of an artist’s business partners.
