Mayor’s Regeneration Fund

Regeneration Committee – 10am in Committee Room 5

The Regeneration Committee will continue its investigation into how funding from the Mayor’s Regeneration Fund is being used for to generate future growth in some of London’s most deprived communities.

The Committee will question the following guests:

· Fiona Fletcher-Smith, Executive Director, Development, Enterprise and Environment, Greater London Authority;

· Sir Stuart Lipton, Chelsfield Partners and Chairman of the Independent Panel on Tottenham;

· Neil McInroy, Chief Executive, Centre for Local Economic Strategies (CLES); and

· Councillor Chris Roberts, Leader, London Royal Borough of Greenwich.

The London Assembly will question Mayor Boris Johnson on a range of topics including emission zones, undercover officers, apprenticeships and luxury property investment.

Internships in London

Economy Committee – 10am in Committee Room 5

The Economy Committee will be discussing the issue of internships – how a good internship can benefit individuals and employers, and how poor quality and unpaid internships may be damaging the interests of young people in London.

The Committee will be questioning the following guests:

· Ben Lyons, Co-Director, Intern Aware;

· Katerina Rudiger, Head of Skills and Policy Campaigns, Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development;

· Mark Kleinman, Assistant Director – Economic and Business Policy, Greater London Authority;
