In May 2016, a new Mayor will take over the Greater London Authority’s £16 billion budget.
Key public services like transport, policing and housing will be affected through to 2017 by the decisions made now.
So what kind of financial legacy is the current Mayor handing to his successor?

In the closing meeting of three sessions to examine the 2016/17 budget, the London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee[1] will tomorrow question the following:
- Boris Johnson MP, Mayor of London
- Sir Edward Lister, Mayor’s Chief of Staff and Deputy Mayor for Policy and Planning
- Martin Clarke, Executive Director of Resources, GLA
- David Gallie, Assistant Director - Group Finance, GLA
The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 12 January from 10:00am in the Chamber at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
