In response to the decision by eight rail franchises including Govia Thameslink Railway’s to scale back new timetable changes which were planned for December, Caroline Pidgeon MBE AM, Chair of the London Assembly Transport Committee, said:
“We have been calling for the rail firms to suspend the planned timetable change and so are pleased they have seen sense and made the decision to scale back yet more timetable changes planned for December.
“Passengers have had enough disruption and the rail firms need to win back customers’ trust after the chaos on services in May.
“The public have lost confidence in timetable changes and we need some return to having a reliable service.”
