The Met has made £600 million of savings over the past four years and is planning to make another £400 million of savings by 2020-21. In the wake of the London Bridge and Westminster attacks, the Committee will question whether the Met has sufficient resources to deliver the current Police and Crime Plan and keep London safe.
The London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee [1] will tomorrow put questions to the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime and guests from the Metropolitan Police Service and the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC).
