London Fire Brigade training: what’s changed since the Grenfell Tower?

Training in the London Fire Brigade has been highlighted as an area that needs major investment, according to three recent independent reports.

Recently appointed London Fire Commissioner, Andy Roe said that training is a top priority for him and that changes would start from 1 January 2020.

Tomorrow, the London Assembly Fire, Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee will question LFB on its current training programme and plans to address the issues raised in the reports.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 30 January at 10am in the Chamber, City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
