Transport
Created on
06 January 2016

This meeting took place on 7 January 2016. Read the transcript for the first section here and the second section here.

  • Transport for London faces rising passenger numbers and a hugely reduced funding settlement, following the Spending Review. How will it meet these challenges?
  • And just how much money was spent on top lawyers in keeping the Olympic Stadium deal confidential?

In the second of three meetings to examine the 2016/17 budget, the London Assembly Budget and Performance Committee[1] will tomorrow put these questions to:

  • Mike Brown, Commissioner for Transport, Transport for London, TfL
  • Isabel Dedring, Deputy Mayor for Transport
  • Ian Nunn, Chief Finance Officer and Interim Managing Director of Finance, TfL
  • David Edmonds, Chairman, London Legacy Development Corporation, LLDC
  • Gerry Murphy, Executive Director of Finance and Corporate Services, LLDC

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 7 January from 2:00pm in Committee Room 5 at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

A third and final meeting with the Mayor, his Chief of Staff, the GLA Executive Director of Resources, and the Assistant Director of GLA Group Finance will take place on 12 January 2016.

Media and members of the public are invited to attend. The meeting can also be viewed via webcast.
