In the last five years, demand for ambulances for critically ill or injured patients has increased annually by six per cent. The London Assembly Health Committee will question bosses of the London Ambulance Service (LAS) about their preparedness for increasing demands on its services at a meeting tomorrow. The committee will also examine how best the Mayor can support the service in the future and how the LAS can become a more transparent organisation.

Guests are:

  • Heather Lawrence OBE, Chair of the London Ambulance Service Trust Board
  • Garrett Emmerson, Chief Executive of the London Ambulance Service

The meeting will take place on Thursday 11 October 2018 at 2pm in The Chamber, City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.

The meeting can also be viewed LIVE via webcast or YouTube
