Response to the Mayor’s Draft Budget for 2019/20
The Budget & Performance Committee releases its response to the Mayor’s draft budget for 2019/20 making a number of recommendations around expenditure, transparency and performance.
These reflect concerns about:
- The impact of the Crossrail delay and a potential fares freeze
- Police officer numbers amid concerns over violent crime
- The need to maintain strong house-building growth
- The ability to measure and judge the Mayor’s performance

Air pollution in London

The London Assembly Environment Committee will examine air pollution in London, with a focus on toxic airborne particles, and discuss the Mayor’s work to reduce pollution, including the Ultra Low Emission Zone.
