Response to the Mayor’s Draft Budget for 2019/20

The Budget & Performance Committee releases its response to the Mayor’s draft budget for 2019/20 making a number of recommendations around expenditure, transparency and performance.

These reflect concerns about:

  • The impact of the Crossrail delay and a potential fares freeze
  • Police officer numbers amid concerns over violent crime
  • The need to maintain strong house-building growth
  • The ability to measure and judge the Mayor’s performance

Air pollution in London

Environment Committee – 10.00am in Committee Room 5

The London Assembly Environment Committee will examine air pollution in London, with a focus on toxic airborne particles, and discuss the Mayor’s work to reduce pollution, including the Ultra Low Emission Zone.

The London Assembly Economy Committee will discuss the barriers faced by disabled people in London when seeking work and examine the support offered to help disabled people find work and stay in work.
