The Mayor’s Draft Environment Strategy for London

Environment Committee – 10:00am in Committee Room 5




This is the second of two meetings where the Environment Committee will examine all topics in the Mayor’s Draft Environment Strategy. The meeting will explore: carbon reduction, adapting to climate change, flood risk, green infrastructure, air pollution, aviation and ambient noise. The guests are:

European Structural and Investment Funds (ESIF)

EU Exit Working Group - 11:00am in The Chamber




The EU Exit Working Group will:

  • Assess the implications for London if the Government does not provide replacement funding for ESIF after Brexit.
  • Consider the opportunities that Brexit and the Government’s plans for a UK Shared Prosperity Fund may bring for London.
  • Ask guests for views on what more the Mayor, and the London Assembly, can do to put forward London’s requirement for replacement ESIF funding post Brexit.

LLDC financial sustainability

Budget Monitoring Sub-Committee - 2:30pm in The Chamber




The Budget Monitoring Sub-Committee will discuss the financial performance of the London Legacy Development Corporation (LLDC) in 2017-18, amid concerns over its £35.3 million budget management. The discussion will include the un-profitable London stadium, the cultural and education district, affordable housing and long-term financial sustainability. The guests are:
