Emergency Services Network


GLA Oversight Committee



The emergency services in London are replacing their previous Airwave communications system with a system based on mobile phone technology. The new Emergency Services Network (ESN) has been delayed across the country and the GLA Oversight Committee has written a letter to Mayor Sadiq Khan to flag up its worries about how and when the new network will be implemented and the impact of the costs of delays on London.

Brexit Directive 1 – EU Citizens

EU Exit Working Group




The London Assembly issues its first Brexit Directive for the Mayor of London to deliver to Government.



The EU Exit Working Group publishes a letter to the Mayor, to feed into his discussions with David Davies, Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union. The Directive concerns the rights and welfare of London's EU Citizens.

London’s night time economy

Economy Committee




As part of its investigation into London’s night time economy, the Economy Committee will visit the London Borough of Croydon to speak to borough representatives, traders and customers to hear how the night time offer in Croydon has expanded and diversified in recent years.

The Housing Committee will discuss property guardianship in London, looking at the legal rights and safety of property guardians and the effectiveness of current legislation. The guests are:

The Education Panel will examine the challenges involved in providing adequate SEND support to pupils in London and aim to identify what role the Mayor can play. The guests are:

The Police and Crime Committee will continue its investigation into anti-social behaviour in the capital, with its second session focusing on what more the Mayor can do to support London’s local agencies responsible for tackling antisocial behaviour. The guests are:
