The GLA Oversight Committee is investigating the governance processes at London & Partners (L&P) and the Greater London Authority (GLA) in relation to overseas visits and trade delegations.
This session with L&P’s beneficiaries will shed light on how businesses became involved with L&P/GLA, what impact their involvement has had on their business and any issues relating to access to GLA sponsorship and Mayoral trade missions.

Inclusion Within London Fire Brigade & Building Safety
Fire, Resilience & Emergency Planning Committee – 10am
Following reports that a “culture of casual racism and misogyny remains prevalent within pockets of the London Fire Brigade (LFB)”, the London Fire Commissioner will be questioned by London Assembly Members on how to build a brigade which reflects the diverse communities of London.
Also, Members will seek an update on the progress of actions taken by the Mayor in respect of cladding and building safety since the Grenfell Tower tragedy four years ago
The Fire Resilience and Emergency Planning Committee will meet to discuss building safety and inclusion in the LFB.

The Mayor faces key challenges in relation to planning and regeneration during this Mayoral term.
He will need to deliver on his manifesto commitments, implement the new London Plan, engage with Government as it undertakes significant reform of the planning system and respond to the impacts and support the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Planning and Regeneration Committee will put questions to the Deputy Mayor for Planning, Regeneration & Skills and his team about how they will meet the challenges over the next 3 years.

Mayor’s Budget Guidance
Budget & Performance Committee – 10am
The Mayor’s manifesto for 2021-2024 includes almost 250 commitments, some of which will have financial impacts for the GLA and will need to be factored into the 2022-23 budget process.
The Assembly has raised concerns about the scale and cost of the delivery of the manifesto commitments, particularly in the context of a shorter term - three years.
The Budget and Performance Committee will meet to discuss the Mayor’s Budget Guidance, the impact of COVID-19 on the GLA’s finances, funding changes and more.
