TfL Finances

Budget & Performance Committee - 11:00am in The Chamber

The worrying state of TfL’s fiscal problems will be examined in the first meeting of the Budget & Performance Committee’s investigation into TfL finances.

The organisation has ambitious plans to come out of deficit and return to a surplus position by 2021-22. The plans to return to surplus hinge on substantially increasing income, both from fares and from commercial sources, as well as making significant cost savings.

Future Rail

Transport Committee - 10:00am in The Chamber

The Transport Committee is investigating the future of rail in London. The investigation will look at the current and future needs of London’s rail network and how demand on the network will change. It will also assess the extent to which Network Rail plans, and proposals in the Mayor’s Transport Strategy, will address London’s rail needs, and how these will be delivered.

Mayor’s Draft Food Strategy

Environment Committee - 10:00am in the Chamber

Areas covered in the Mayor’s draft food strategy include; food consumed at home. food shopping and eating out, food in public institutions and community settings, food for maternity, early years, education and health, food growing, community gardens and urban farming, and environmental aspects of food.

The discussion will inform the Assembly’s response to the Mayor’s consultation on the draft strategy. The guests are:
