Assembly changes Chairs at City Hall

During its Annual Meeting tomorrow, the London Assembly will elect a new Chair and Deputy Chair of the Assembly.

Members will also agree the establishment and membership of a range of Committees, to lead investigations into issues ranging from public transport to the Mayor’s Budget.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 2 May from 2.30pm in The Chamber, at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Mayor gives Crossrail update



Following the Annual Meeting, Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan will appear before the Assembly to deliver an update on the latest launch timetable for the Elizabeth Line, also known as Crossrail.

Members will question:

  • Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London
  • Mike Brown MVO, TfL Commissioner
  • Tony Meggs, Chairman, Crossrail Ltd
  • Mark Wild, Chief Executive, Crossrail Ltd

The meeting will take place on Thursday, 2 May from 3.30pm in The Chamber, at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).

Media and members of the public are invited to attend.
