Supporting apprenticeships, it’s easier said than done

Will small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), be able to support apprenticeship programs and grow their business under the proposed government changes to apprenticeship schemes in London?

The Economy Committee will tomorrow examine the challenges SMEs face when taking on apprentices as part of the Committee’s ongoing investigation into the development and management of London’s apprentices.

Assembly Members will also hear from apprentices currently completing their vocational training and discuss how the proposed government changes will affect apprenticeship providers.

The following guests will be questioned,

  • Kofi Adu-Boahen, Hackney Community College Digital Media Apprentice
  • Musa Jallow, London Legacy Development Corporation Construction Operative Apprentice

The meeting will take place on Tuesday, 4 February from 10.00am in Committee Room 5 at City Hall (The Queen’s Walk, London SE1).
