Holy Trinity Primary School public hearing
In his role of making strategic planning decisions for London, the Mayor may occasionally take over an application, therefore becoming the local planning authority. He must then hold a public hearing before deciding whether or not to grant planning permission.
In this instance, the Mayor took over the application for the redevelopment of Holy Trinity Primary School.
Background to the public hearing
On 20 June 2013, Hackney Council advised the Mayor that it was minded to refuse planning permission for the redevelopment proposals at Holy Trinity Primary School.
On 3 July 2013 the Mayor notified Hackney Council that he would act as the local planning authority for the purposes of determining this planning application (under article 7 of the Mayor of London Order 2008 and the powers conferred by Section 2A of the 1990 Town and Country Planning Act).
The Local Planning Authority reference assigned to the application is 2013/0457. The GLA reference is D&P 3067.
