David Bull, Executive Director at Unicef UK talks about why the organisation decided to partner with the Mayor for London New Year’s Eve.
Watching the fireworks on New Year’s Eve, whether from the banks of the Thames or on TV at home, is an unmissable annual tradition for people across the UK. And every year, millions more people around the world join in and look to London’s iconic display to help them see in the New Year.
The event is always something very special and this year Unicef is incredibly proud to be part of it. We’re joining together with the Mayor of London to make sure this year’s celebrations are better than ever.
And what’s more, everyone who watches will have the chance to help change the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.
As 100,000 people gather in the capital to witness the spectacular display, the event will help bring people together in a shared moment of hope and commitment as they welcome in the New Year.
