Join us for the launch of the inclusive employers toolkit.

The inclusive employers toolkit is a step by step guide to support employers take action on workforce diversity and inclusion. It aims to help employers improve the recruitment, retention and progression of young Black men within the workplace and more broadly improve employment outcomes for young Black men across London.

The event will also showcase the findings of new research undertaken by the Runnymede Trust - an exploration of the barriers experienced by young black men entering and progressing in the technology and construction industries.

It will be opened by the Deputy Mayor for Social Integration, Social Mobility and Community Engagement, Dr Debbie Weekes-Bernard. Other speakers will include Jeremy Crook OBE, Chief Executive of the Black Training Enterprise Group (BTEG), who developed the Toolkit.

This event is for Senior leaders and recruitment staff within companies in the construction and digital industries and their suppliers, interested in taking action on diversity and inclusion.

This toolkit was developed by BTEG, as part of the Moving on Up initiative, in partnership with businesses across the technology and construction sectors.

The event is part of the Mayor’s Workforce Integration Network (WIN). The programme is currently supporting young black men aged 16 to 24 years into living wage employment in the Technology and Construction sector.
