Could you tell me how many times Mayor Sadiq Khan used a taxi in the years from 2018 to 2022 (to the nearest date to present)?
Could you please break the information down by year and how much in total the taxis cost in that year?
Our response
The GLA does not keep recorded information that would show all times the Mayor took a taxi, e.g. if sharing a taxi with a group of GLA staff or other people.
Details of the Mayor’s expenses, including taxi usage as part of GLA business will be published online.
As you can see, no taxi claims have been recorded for the period from January 2018 to the end of financial year 2020/2021. We have also conducted checks for 2021/2022, not yet published and did not locate any taxi expense claims submitted for that period.
Members’ expenses information is also routinely reported to the GLA’s Audit Panel and can be found on individual Members’ pages.
