Your request

Please include the following information for the 2021-22 financial year:

  1. The total expenditure on refurbishments for the council headquarters.
  2. A breakdown of this expenditure, including any items purchased and the name, number and cost, for example, sofas, lamps, rugs.
  3. Any works done, for example, painting, re-carpeting.

Refurbishments should include all items of furniture, appliances and fittings within the building. It should also include works such as paint jobs and carpeting.

Please only provide me with information on the main council offices. This will likely be your town hall. 

Our response

Although your request refers to councils and to town halls, we believe that your request overlaps with a similar request that you sent to the GLA in January 2022.

Our response (reference MGLA100122-1203) at the time advised:

The information requested is not yet fully available. The Authority will be preparing a report for the London Assembly, once the final position is known, which will be presented to the Oversight Committee on 23 March and which will be public. This report will contain the information you are seeking. 

To update you with regards to City Hall, this information is now likely to be made available mid to late Q3 2022, once the final accounts have been agreed.
