TrustLaw Legal Healthcheck Workshop

We have partnered with TrustLaw to offer a new Legal Health Check workshop for small charities and not for profit organisations.

These are interactive workshops that offer attendees an introduction to TrustLaw, a free global pro-bono legal service run by Thomson Reuters Foundation that connects the best lawyers around the world to NGOs and social enterprises.  The workshop gives the opportunity to run a legal health check on your organisation identifying potential risk areas,  and provides an overview of wide range of the services offered by TrustLaw volunteer professionals and how to access this free service.

TrustLaw Workshop: Legal Health Check for Small Charities and Social Enterprises

Are you confident that your organisation meets all legal requirements?  Are you concerned that there may be risks that you are not aware of?

Team London have partnered with TrustLaw to pilot a new Legal Health Check workshop at City Hall.

This will be an interactive legal workshop that offers participants an introduction to TrustLaw, which is a free global pro bono legal service run by Thomson Reuters Foundation that connects the best lawyers around the world to NGOs and social enterprises.

The TrustLaw team will introduce participants to their Legal Health Check resource (available here), which covers a range of legal topics, including corporate structuring and governance, commercial contracts, intellectual property, data protection, finance and fundraising issues.

Using practical examples, you will learn how to spot legal issues and assess the legal health of your organisation. TrustLaw lawyers will help you understand what legal advice your organisation might need—now or in the future—and explain how you can access free legal advice from pro bono lawyers through TrustLaw.

In order to be eligible for TrustLaw membership your organisation will need to either be incorporated (i.e. a non-profit, charity or social enterprise that is organised as a company) or a registered charitable trust.
