What will I be doing?

  • Our flagship project 'The Junior Apprentice' is an accredited Core Skills, Business & Leadership Project across 7 London boroughs, running from July 24th - August 8th with this year's theme being Business and Creative Arts. The project consists of an exciting 3 weeks of full time activities, where around 120 young people aged 13 to 19 years compete over a series of team challenges designed to develop, teach, and inspire each individual. We aim to discover and unravel the true talents hidden in every young person through fun, creative, engaging and safe ways.
  • The project runs full time across 6 London sites from July 24th to August 8th, as well as hosting ad-hoc workshops, networking and mentoring opportunities that support young people throughout the year.
  • 7 Sites you can work at:. Clapham, Westbury Avenue, Tottenham, West Croydon, Heathrow, Lewisham, Peckham.
  • The role will involve taking administrative actions, mentoring and assisting in the role of a site coordinator and teacher for the teams at your chosen location. You will contribute towards helping the young participants grow and develop through different business-oriented tasks.
  • Throughout your experience, there will be a full team supporting you with any help you may need or requests you may have. You are guided daily on how to best inspire and develop the young people.
  • The business-oriented tasks are aimed towards personal development of each individual as well as a substantial gain in business and marketing knowledge. As you are guiding the young participants, you will gain opportunities to grow and develop yourself not only as a leader, but also as an individual aware of real-world business and marketing strategies.

What impact will this have?

  • Now more than ever do young people need your help and support. In the midst of a global pandemic and the uprising of the Black Lives Matter movement, our young people are looking forward to participating in Junior Apprentice this year... But we need your help!.
  • Current crisis - By joining our team of youth workers, you will be contributing to one of the most important causes at this day and age. Young people all over the world would have been out of the school system for 6 months by September. You can help us inspire and develop these young students by giving them a unique opportunity to grow and develop in the Junior Apprentice project.
  • BAME community - The Hebe Foundation is a Black owned UK charity who create innovative and inspiring projects for disadvantaged young people, particularly in the BAME community. With the current political and safety situation around the world, you are taking a clear stance against inequality by joining and supporting this cause.
  • Education inequality - remains a huge issue in the UK. According to research, only 26% of disadvantaged pupils make it to university. Correspondingly, only 4% of doctors come from working class backgrounds. Take a clear stand against education inequality and help less privileged students gain the same opportunities as their more privileged peers.
  • - No young person's success should be limited by their background. Help young people in London reach their goals and dreams, unravel their gifts and talents and find a passion of your own alongside professionals in the field.
