What will I be doing?

  • Provide us with strategic advice on our youth
    work projects
  • Attend management committee meetings held every three
    months
  • Provide us with practical advice on our youth

What impact will this have?

  • Trustees can ensure their CYP has a clear strategy, and that its work and goals are in line with its vision.
  • As a trustee you will be working towards making CYP one of the leading youth organisations in the area.
  • You will help to support and develop CYP, allowing young people in the area to experience fun, friendship and a safe-space.
  • You will put your existing skills and experience to good use.
  • It’s a great way to meet new people.
  • You will learn new skills that could help build your CV, or just add to your experience or confidence in certain areas.

Commitment

  • 2 hours every three months
  • minimum one year time commitment

What else do I need to know?

  • You will need to have experience working in the charity sector, ideally with a youth work/educational/mental health background at a senior level. People management, mentoring or HR knowledge is also desirable.

  • A DBS check is required
