What will I be doing?

  • Be responsible for the overall coordination of the Community Volunteering Project (CVP) in the organisation.
  • Responsible for advertising and recruitment of volunteers
  • Responsible for updating and implementing the Volunteer policies of AfCD.
  • Be responsible for liaising with other voluntary, community organisations and statutory agencies,
  • Organise annual volunteering events.

What impact will this have?

  • Better coordinated Community Volunteering Project.
  • Increase the benefit gained by the organisation from volunteers.
  • Enable volunteers to benefit more from volunteering with the organisation.

Commitment

  • Minimum of 16 hours per week for 6 months.
  • To be responsible for advertising and Recruiting Volunteers
    To be responsible for managing the Community Volunteering Project (CVP).
    To be responsible for identifying volunteering roles for the different projects within the organisation.

What else do I need to know?

  • Position may lead to paid employment depending on the avalability of funding.

  • Various capacity building training offered by the organisation e.g project management, First Aid at Work, Leadership and Management, Food & Hygiene etc
  • Possibility of accessing external training.
    Meeting new people, socialising befriending and benefiting from other services of AfCD such as Legal Advice.
  • May be nominated to attend training or represent the organisation.
