What will I be doing?

  • Volunteering gives an opportunity to be part of this buzzing community festival, feel connected to the neighbourhood, and have fun at the fair. Our volunteers play such an important role in enabling the smooth running of the event. We love our volunteers!

We'll give you a meal voucher to use at the festival and a Camberwell Fair t-shirt.

We'd also love to hear from you if you can help out in advance of the event in the following ways: event promotion and social media; distributing flyers and posters locally; assisting with set up on Camberwell Green on the eve of Friday 30 August.

  • We are looking for volunteers to do a x4 hour shift on the day of the event (11am-3pm, 2-6pm, 4-8pm, or 6-10pm), helping out with: assisting on information stall; assisting with adults and kids games and races; keeping site looking nice and litter free; staffing reusable cups points; collecting donations; general stewarding; backstage assistance.
  • We'll give you a meal voucher to use at the festival and a Camberwell Fair t-shirt.

There will be a social/briefing evening prior to the event at The Camberwell Arms, Tuesday 27 Aug 6.30-8pm.

What impact will this have?

  • Volunteers literally enable the event to take place. We could not operate without our wonderful team of volunteers and their generous commitment of time, skills and goodwill.
  • Through this role, volunteers experience having a community presence and community participation.
  • Volunteers enhance our existing community relationships.
  • Volunteering at this event is a skills generation opportunity for people interested in working in community events.
