What will I be doing?

  • Get involved in loads of exciting activities across Redbridge and support someone else to do the same.
  • Give just 3-4 hours a week to make a huge difference to a young person's life.
  • Use your existing skills or learn new ones; we work with young people with a range of needs, including sensory impairments, complex medical conditions, autism and learning disabilities; you could learn anything from signing skills to sensory play to support your buddy.
  • Meet like-minded people and make new friends
  • Full training and support provided

What impact will this have?

  • As a volunteer you will gain an insight into the needs of children with disabilities. They have a chance to see development over time and they work with families in need of support.
  • Our flexible and personalised services empower people to communicate and express themselves, be it through speech or sign, touch or movement, gesture or sound, art or dance.
  • You will help provide a safe and supportive environment in which your buddy is confident to try new things, learn about themselves and find new strengths they never knew they had!
